Never delete the TS2 hoods because when you build a custom hood it will be numbered those and they will never show up. What went wrong is if you delete the TS2 hoods then create a custom hood it will be numbered the TS2 Maxis hoods. The customer service rep gave me Sims 2 Ultimate & when I copied all of my old files to my new game, it worked and everyone shows up! I'm not really sure what exactly went wrong, but.it all seems in order again!! So, I actually contacted EA/Origin, b/c I was having the additional problem of missing one of my expansion pack disks. I even researched the "codes" for the neighbourhoods, too, just to be sure (b/c hey, it HAD been a long time since I've played it so it's quite possible they did get lost along the way). I did check to make sure I had all of the neighbourhoods saved. Play Sims2 (using the latest expansion/stuff pack you have - could be Mansion & Gardens) and this will generate a new EA file.Īll the neighbourhoods should be there and each neighbourhood allowing you to create the vacation lots, downtown, colleges etc. If the expansion packs are installed, go My Documents - EA Games and move the folder to another location e.g. University, Nightlife, Seasons, Bon Voyage and Freetime. If you have installed these expansion packs as well as Bon Voyage (for vacation), Nightlife (for Downtown) and University, you should be able to access these.įirst check Control Panel/Programmes and confirm they are all installed and in the order they were released e.g. Desiderata Valley came with Freetime and Riverblossom Hills with Seasons. When you install Sims2, three neighbourhoods are generated - Pleasantview, Strangetown and Veronaville. No Better Nightlife Mod or previously released CC is required. Is it possible you have deleted these neighbourhoods and have forgotten? Than hit ‘Categorized Properties’ and choose a colour you like in the drop-down menu of ’stdMatDiffCoef’. ‘***-dairystop-crqtt-shoppaintmaterial_txmt’ material definition. This method also gives you an easy recolouring option: just open (or clone) the shop facade you want to recolor in SimPE and choose NB: The set uses material definition colouring method, so it’s very economical in terms of game resources (whole set size is 1,7Mb) In game, just place decorative shop facade over the front of the hood deco building or lot imposter to make it look like a built-in shop.Īll the items appear under ‘Landmark’ and each deco has its own description which makes it easy to choose which shopfront you want to use. You can choose any files or use them all just remember to keep ‘crqtt_ShopFacade_MATERIALS.package’ in the ‘Downloads’ folder even if you going to use only one. To install, just place all the files into your ‘Downloads’ folder. This set is designed to diversify your town centre, high street or commercial areas.
